it now has 3200 members throughout the world.
Someone seeking help from a professional organizer

numerous benefits, including educational seminars, an annual conference,
a bi-monthly newsletter, and listing in the referral directory.

is an electronic forum and is made up of many individual groups
across the globe. It's a grassroots movement of people who are giving
(& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Membership is

the years and have found all their information enormously helpful:
many practical ideas on how to live a greener life and comprehensive
information about socially responsible investing, green businesses,
green shopping, wood-saving practices, and much more.

Simplifying, Slowing Down
The Simple Living Network –
www.simpleliving.net
"Tools, examples, and contacts for conscious, simple, healthy,
and restorative living." A comprehensive resource for
the entire field of voluntary simplicity.
The Simple Living Resource Guide –
www.gallagherpress.com/pierce
This site was designed by Linda Breen Pierce, founder of The Pierce
Simplicity Study. It contains a very wide range of simplicity resources,
including book reviews, articles and essays, and information about
organizations and activities related to simplicity.
Pat Katz and Optimus Consulting –
www.patkatz.com
"Sanity saving strategies for a speed-crazed world.
More time…less stress." I’m a newcomer to
this resource and have started receiving her newsletter. What
I’ve read has been inspiring, interesting, and useful.
Personal Favorites
I include the following three resources in
my list of "most powerful influences in my life."
Power Path Seminars – www.powerpathseminars.com
The material I’ve encountered through José and Lena
Stevens’ work has added great value to my life for nearly
20 years. Their perspective and teachings on all kinds of
subjects – from personality to politics, movies to shamanism
– continues to inspire, educate, and support me on all levels.
They offer books, tapes, newsletter, seminars, coaching, consulting,
and more.
The Highly Sensitive Person
by Elaine Aron
This book changed my life (no exaggeration). The material in this
book – now augmented by websites, groups, other books on the
subject – have helped me navigate through life with greater
ease and comfort in a not-so-sensitive world. She has also written
several other books. Her website, www.hsperson.com,
includes many resources – a newsletter, links to events, books,
and other websites on related topics.
Perelandra – www.perelandra-ltd.com
A center that researches and provides resources based on the study
of Nature Intelligence. I have been using their processes, flower
essences, and other tools and books since 1992. This material
has been the most empowering I’ve discovered to date for healing
myself, others, and the environment, as well as using co-creative
approaches for everything from developing a presentation to getting
rid of squirrels nesting in our roof.

Articles by Yvonne
Yvonne’s article "Weeding
the Garden of Your Possessions," first appeared
in North Carolina’s Inner Change Magazine in the
fall of 1999. It helps you through the process of thinning your
belongings by offering various practical suggestions as well as
a deeper understanding of what’s involved, and why this can
be so hard to do.
